Mr. Darcy, Vampyre by Amanda Grange

All I can say is...WOW! I never in a million years thought that I would enjoy a book based on characters from another author, but this book is fabulous. It opens on the day of Elizabeth and Darcy's wedding. Elizabeth begins noticing strange things about Darcy almost immediately. He changes their honeymoon plans and they spend most of the book in Europe among his vampyre friends. They travel to Paris, Switzerland, and Italy. Elizabeth spends the whole trip thinking that Darcy regrets marrying her because he won't touch her. Darcy ends up protecting her from a very old vampyre who thinks that she is the reincarnation of his lost love. Elizabeth helps him break the vampyre curse, and they live happily ever after.
The book is very well written. All the characters are very well fleshed out, and the plot is an awesome one that fits in with today's obsessions with vampire books. I don't normally like the idea of someone taking Jane Austen's characters and putting them in an Alternate Universe(it seems a little too much like fan fiction to me. After reading this book though, I think I may tackle Pride and Prejudice and Zombies or Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters. Stay tuned!
