Covet by J.K. Ward

Disclaimer: This book is basically a trashy romance novel set in a paranormal world, so DO NOT read this book unless you are over the age of 18

Wow! That is all I can say about this book! It was so intense! It really was a little harder to get into at the beginning, but once you get over the hump, OMG!!
The premise is about a construction worker named Jim, who is chosen to become a Fallen Angel. His job is to save seven people from the seven deadly sins [FYI that means that there are going to be six more books!]. The first person he has to save is a business owner by the name of Vin dePietro. You may be able to guess that the sin that he has to be saved from is avarice or greed. Jim at first thinks that his job is to get Vin to fall in love with his current girl friend, [whom by the way Jim has a steamy scene in his truck in a club parking lot with.]Devina. Although, Devina is definitely not what she appears to be. I'll leave you guys to figure that out when you read the book. As the story progresses and Jim and Vin become friends, Vin falls in love with Marie-Terese. She is also not what she appears, and again you'll have to read the book to find out!
This book is filled with the paranormal, and dare I say it...sex, sex, and more sex...well okay, maybe only like four scenes, but still its there!
Again, I ask if you guys read this book leave comments and let me know what you think.

Looking for Alaska by John Green

This is an AMAZING book. From start to finish it pulls you in and won't let go. It is the winner of the Micheal Printz Award for Excellence in Young Adult Literature.
This is the story of Miles "Pudge" Halter. He spends the first part of the book looking for the Great Perhaps. You find out that he is obsessed with famous peoples last words. He is enrolled in Culver Creek Boarding School where he meets the sexy, and crazy Alaska Young, with who he is immediately smitten. She is a HUGE practical joker. He also describes her as smelling of vanilla and cigarettes. As the story progresses Miles gets a girlfriend, but he is still attracted to Alaska. They plan a tremendous prank, consisting of sending failing report cards home to Weekday Warriors. Through out this story Alaska has a boyfriend, and one night she runs off without an explanation. What happens next turns Mile's world completely upside down. I'm going to leave it off right there, because I really think you guys should read this book even though it is young adult.
I cried when I got to the end of the book because it is just that emotional. It really does keep you hanging on from the first page to the last.

Happy Reading!

P.S. You really should check out Brotherhood 2.0 on YouTube. It is John Green with his brother Hank, and become a part of nerdfighteria!

Mr. Darcy, Vampyre by Amanda Grange

All I can say is...WOW! I never in a million years thought that I would enjoy a book based on characters from another author, but this book is fabulous. It opens on the day of Elizabeth and Darcy's wedding. Elizabeth begins noticing strange things about Darcy almost immediately. He changes their honeymoon plans and they spend most of the book in Europe among his vampyre friends. They travel to Paris, Switzerland, and Italy. Elizabeth spends the whole trip thinking that Darcy regrets marrying her because he won't touch her. Darcy ends up protecting her from a very old vampyre who thinks that she is the reincarnation of his lost love. Elizabeth helps him break the vampyre curse, and they live happily ever after.
The book is very well written. All the characters are very well fleshed out, and the plot is an awesome one that fits in with today's obsessions with vampire books. I don't normally like the idea of someone taking Jane Austen's characters and putting them in an Alternate Universe(it seems a little too much like fan fiction to me. After reading this book though, I think I may tackle Pride and Prejudice and Zombies or Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters. Stay tuned!

The Road by Cormac McCarthy

Wow! I hadn't realized that it had been so long since I posted. Okay, this book is a Pulitzer Prize winner. It is a post-apocalyptic tale of the survival of a father and son. It follows them as they try to make their way towards the coast. The way the book is written is very interesting. The characters are never given names. Mr. McCarthy does not use quotation marks to mark the dialogue between characters. The story its self is very touching, and the love the father has for his son is very evident, he is all that the boy has left because the boys mother died right after the apocalyptic event, by committing suicide. The story is tough to read because it does hit close to home. The way Mr. McCarthy presents the story makes it really seem like it could happen. The father and son are on the run for their life from road agents who have turned into cannibals from the lack of food. At some points in the book it goes for weeks before the father can find food for him and the boy. They will steal other peoples belongings as other people will steal their belongings. The one thing that I do not like about the story is that it is never revealed what happened to put the world in that state. Over all the book is fantastic, if a little tough to swallow. I hope you all will read it and leave comments on what you think about it.
