City of Bones by Cassandra Claire

I heard about this book from some friends I had talked to though Twilighters Anonymous Podcast. I decided to check it out. The one thing I can say is the book is very well written. However, the book is very much written for younger teenagers.
The main protagonist is Clary Fray. One night while out at an all ages club called Pandamonium, Clary witnesses the murder of a what she thinks is a young boy by three teenagers. She will have a hard time proving it because she is the only one who can see the teenagers and the boy that disappeared. One night Clary's mother is kidnapped and Clary is attacked by what she finds out is a demon. This is around the time that she meets Jace, Alec and Izabelle. She learns that he parents are Shadowhunters and it is her destiny to become one herself. I will leave you guys to figure out if she does ;)
As always, if you read this book or any of the others I have recommended please leave a comment and let me know what you thought.

New Moon by Stephenie Meyer

Okay I know that I should probably write about Twilight first, but with the movie just being released I ended up re-reading New Moon. So here is my blog on New Moon. This is the second book in the Twilight Saga. It continues the story of Edward and Bella, who fell in love in Twilight. Edward happens to be a vampire. In the beginning of New Moon Bella gets hurt and almost attacked by Edward's brother, Jasper. He is broken up about it and decides to leave Bella. She completely breaks down. She begins to hang around with Jacob Black, and to pick up the pieces of her shattered heart. She realizes that she can hear Edwards voice when she tries to get an adrenaline rush. It also happens when she is in danger. Bella goes cliff diving and Edward thinks she killed her self and rushed to Italy to the Volturi, the royal family of the vampire world. Bella rushes behind him to save his life. I will leave it there for you to find out if she got there in time!

Side Note The movie came out on November 20th and it is epic! I highly recommend it to you all!

As always, if you read New Moon, please leave a comment and let me know what you though!

Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr

I had never read a book that was strictly about Faeries until I read a thread posted in the Order of the Plaid Unicorn Book Recommendation section of the Twilighters Anonymous Podcast forums. I decided to check it out. I was absolutely blown away! The story-telling is phenominal!! The host that recommended the book did not really enjoy it as much as I did.
The main character is Aislinn. She is gifted with "Sight", she can see faeries walking among the humans. One night she is followed by a handsome faerie called Keenan. He is the King of the Summer Court, and his powers are bound by the Winter Queen. He is also separated for his Summer Queen. One by one he must chose girls and make them trust him enough to risk the Winter Queen's test. If they chose to stay with him, but not risk the test they become one of his Summer Girls bound to him and his court. If they are brave enough to take the test, but are not the Summer Queen they become the Winter Girl, the most recent being Donia. It is Donia's bound duty to persuade each girl not to trust Keenan. This is to keep him from finding his Summer Queen. Keenan and Donia spend the book pursuing Aislinn. Aislinn finally agrees to take the test...I will leave you to discover the outcome for yourselves!
As always, if you take my recommendation and read this book, please leave a comment and let me know how you enjoyed it!

Captain Wentworth's Diary by Amanda Grange

Okay, Ms.Grange knows her Austen men. This book is exceptionally well written. You "hear" Captain Wentworth's voice.
This is Jane Austen's story Persuasion told from the POV of the hero. Now I am assuming that you readers know the story of Persuasion, the story of Anne Elliot, who falls in love with Captain Wentworth. They are torn apart when she rejects him because her "friend" Lady Russell tells her that she will hold him back. When they meet years later, the feeling rekindle, but Captain Wentworth tries to deny it. Well his diary takes you through their first meeting all the way through their wedding day. You find out how he perceived certain events, and the emotions that he goes through. The most interesting parts are where he discusses thoughts that he keeps hidden from the people around him.

Ms.Grange also has other books written along this line:

Mr.Darcy's Diary,
Mr.Knightly's Diary,
Edward Bertram's Diary

As always, if you check any of these or the other books I have recommended please, please comment and let me know your thoughts on them!

Happy Reading!!!
